We mentioned it was our silver wedding anniversary that day and the lovely lady upgraded us to a wonderful room on the second floor with balcony and huge bathroom. Everything was spotless, staff were warm and welcoming. We went to the bar and had fantastic cocktails at a very reasonable price - far cheaper than London and every bit as good!

The ambience and location of the Portland Regency Hotel is perfect for my taste. The location could not be any more convenient for my interests in dining, the museum and the old port district.
For my two stays thus far, I have only excellent reviews for all aspects of the hotel. The Staff are very well trained in customer service, the facilities are welcoming and clean and the refreshed decor is done tastefully.

Staff was friendly, armory is cool concept, spa in house, free coffee, location is terrific.
Couple of things ... I am frequent traveller. Heater did not work in room 207 but was fixed but had to sleep in 70 degree for one night not the worst but I like it a bit warmer ... in spa men's sauna did not work ...
