The staff at the Penrose Hotel were very friendly and did their best to accommodate every request. The shuttle to and from the airport was excellent and the drivers were very courteous and accommodating.

The hotel's location to the Wells Fargo Center was very convenient . The staff was very friendly and accommodating which was great. Nikki from housekeeping was wonderful. She went out if her way to ensure we were comfortable .
The hotel needs a lot of updating. The elevators were very slow, the electric outlets were a little scary and the room seemed very
worn. The bathroom in the lobby left a lot to be desired. Our rooms had to be changed because of poor air-conditioning. I had a great time with the people I was which made the stay OK. I really want to say that I would recommend this hotel but I cant. If nothing else were available I guess I'd suck it up and stay here.

We attended two Phillie games and the stadium was easily walkable(as are football, hockey and basketball arenas). We did a double-decker bus tour of the city and we were picked up at the hotel to do this. The hotel also has a nice breakfast and a little bar. Nothing fancy overall but a convenient and affordable place to stay.

When I made my complaints (see below) as we checked out the following morning, saying that the manager should give us a discount for the things we were supposed to have, but didn't, the desk clerk was courteous and gave me the manager's card and his phone number.
The television malfunctioned, and we were told there was no one around to fix it, so we didn't have TV for the night.
Also, the shower faucet didn't work properly.

Nice view, big bed. Worth the price. Was scared after reading the reviews but wasn't bad at all

It was somewhat uneasy because i could not take a shower. There was no runmimg water in the shower.
No water to bathe and a bit noisy and smokey
