Hotel Paris Bastille

We stayed there for 2 nights and we were quite happy with the hotel. the staff were nice and the hotel is less than 2 min walk from the metro. I would reccomend this hotel.

Location was perfect... in general acceptable conditions except cleanliness of the room.

A good place to stay but locale-wise, although fantastically close to Gares and Mets, having stayed in the area's side streets previously, I found rue de Lyon quite noisy; a room away from the street would probably be fine. It was somewhat off-putting to arrive early evening to discover our room had no longer been held for us - this was booked online 4 months prior - due to a glitch with my credit card, which was working perfectly. Whilst an e-mail had been sent advising us of this, it was only sent 24 hours prior to our arrival, and as we were in transit this was of no help. However the woman on the desk became, after some stomping on may part, quite helpful and managed to find a room for us for the time required. The room was very comfortable and quite spacious, but overall the staff could have been more helpful at times, and the breakfast was very over priced. Overall though, I would be happy to return to the hotel and am more than happy to recommend it to others.
