Nothing didn't stay

I was not impressed with anything at this hotel. Probably the worst place I have seen. The room was smelly, the chairs were falling apart, the toilet didn't work, and in my opinion the room was dirty. I had booked for the Talladega race so this threw a monkey wrench into my whole weekend. Fortunately my booking agent was very understanding and let me cancel with a full refund. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel. AS a result of the whole ordeal I ended up staying in Jacksonville which was really too far away. I have stayed at other Super 8 hotels with no problems.

Close to Talledega Motor Speedway. In the question below, it asks if I would recommend this hotel based on my experience. My answer is yes, but only to people who are coming to the race based on your hotels location to the Speedway alone, not on the quality of the stay.

The hotel itself was fine, however, we had plans to come back to our room and watch the ball game on the TV. All of the channels on the TV were snowy. We contacted the front desk. They said they would see what they could do about fixing it. We called the front desk 4 times that night, only to have 1 young lady come to our room. She tried to wiggle the cable around, which we could have done ourselves, which was around 7:30. She said that there was another guy that comes on second shift around 11:30 or 12:00 she could send down when he came on duty and have him look at the TV. We told her at that point the ball game would be over. We asked her if we could change rooms and she said no, there were no other rooms, however the rooms on either side of our room had the curtains drawn open, were clean and ready for new guests. We would have appreciated more assistance in this matter. It made our stay unpleasant and it was a problem that should have been simple for a manager to have resolved.

My friend and I (Age 60+) booked this hotel for the Talladega Race weekend. I was concerned that this would be a trucker's type motel. Was pleasantly surprised. The property was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good with a variety of choices.

Very unhappy about the fact that we had paid for the room and told us that it was not paid! He had returned by mail the invoice to be paid back in a second time!
