Main reason for choosing Mikado Hotel: Location

I liked the high pressure and volume of the shower. Great shower in the bathroom.

The front desk people were not very knowledgeable. When I asked how to get on the 101 highway south, they didn't know. Also their English was poor. When I asked for a receipt they appeared confused. Everything else was great.

It was a good, clean, comfortable, conveniently located hotel, with no fancy extras that I don't need. For me, it was a perfect place. Nice breakfast. Also, the housekeeping staff was respectful of my wishes. I appreciated that.

The front desk staff was not always as helpful or pleasant as I would have thought they should be.

I love where it is. It is very centrally located for us to visit our relatives.

The breakfast was terrible. We could hardly eat it. The desk person, when we got there was not helpful at all. These were minor in comparison to the comfort of the hotel.

The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The Mikado restaurant was also a bonus... good quality for a good price.

It was a little noisy from the local traffic.

Location was great. Free parking. Breakfast at Mikado restaurant.

I booked the room with 2 queen bed, but the room had 1 bed. I had 2 adults and 1 boy 12 ???!!! I asked for replacement, and got the room not finished with remodeling. Went back for another replacement , and finally got the room we counted on. All this was around 9 pm. Next day I asked at office to offer us discount - free last night or 50%. Looks like staff does not care.

Very nice hotel right near the freeway and easy to find. Restaurant was quite good for dinner and for the complimentary breakfast. It is not too fancy or too new, which makes it a good bargain.

They had just cleaned the rug in my room and it was still damp.
