We requested a non-smoking room and it was truly non-smoking. Check in staff was very pleasant.
No early check out capability. No place to leave the key of you had to leave before the office opened. All they need to do is have a drop box. We left the key in the room.

I enjoyed the value and money we saved. The room was all we needed to rest. Nothing fancy but homely and comfortable.
The mattress was stained for the many years of use. the sheets were thin but again, we had a nice experience staying there. I would stay there again.

Location and price of the hotel
Refrigerator made loud noises that weren't fixed for my entire stay.
TV would go from color to black and white. The floor of the room was very dirty.

The room was very comfortable; loved the dark curtains. We loved that it was near the interstate. This was our second time staying at Sun Suites of Metairie.
Even though they have an iron and ironing board, the room didn't have hangers.

Get a decent television, and make sure that your coffee pots work. Ours didn't.

It was nice and quiet. Water gets extremely hot.
The cleaning staff seems to only have new supplies (towels, soaps, coffee). I can only hope the sheets were clean as the floors were not swept, vacuumed or moped. The bottom connection on the frame was disconnected nor the table connected to the wall for eating. With these items fixed I would highly recommend this location.
