Location and services.
I think the 15 pound extra charge for a standard breakfast is frankly a liberty; everywhere these days offers bed and breakfast (with supplements for non-standard).

It was in the centre of Manchester.
It has now become really run down. The bar area near the reception was full of drunks and drop outs. I appreciate that there were (I believe 2 wedding receptions and didn't we know it) but I'm afraid we won't be coming back. As for the standard double room we we occupied on the 6th floor, spacious, run down and as for the TV it was something like what we owned 30 years ago.

Room was noisy due to air con units outside the room, prevented a relaxing night's sleep

Thank you for making our weekend break so enjoyable - all the people we dealt with were a credit to the hotel.
Just one minor gripe - at breakfast, the coffee was poor and we had to repeatedly ask for teaspoons and sugar.

I don't like the modern system of charging seperately for brekfast. I prefer the package to be B&B.
