Main reason for choosing Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston: Location
The location was central to everything. We had to stay due to our flight being cancelled due to weather and having to stay in Tassie for an extra two days. The staff were amazing and Sony in particular made us feel very welcome on arrival and supported us in what could have been a very frustrating experience. We thank all the staff for their wonderful support during our whole stay and they really looked after us!!! We would definitely stay again and would recommend to our friends

Prompt attention from all staff.
The pillows are terrible- too flat /hard. Chairs in the room look dated and worn.

Everything. I have stayed there three times so far and intend to stay there annually. I visit Sheffield on business and then take a few days off at Launceston. I know the good restaurants and other places to visit so it suits me. I always hire a car and drive around the area to various scenic locals.

The staff were very helpful especially in storing away our baggage when we arrived early and also on the day of our departure because our plane didn't leave until 5:00pm. The woman servicing the room was very amenable to changing the time to clean the room.
We did not touch the air conditioner but it was colder on the second night than the first night. The cabinet door to the fridge is strange in that you have to open two doors to get to the fridge. A toaster in the room would have been appreciated.
