Comfort Inn & Suites Las Cruces Mesilla

Very comfortable. Perfect location for us.

When I was unable to gain access to my room (inside lock presented key card from working) and spouse could not be awakened, I was given a second room at no charge for the night. The location was very near Old Mesilla which was where I needed to be.

There really should have been a pass key to bypass the inside lock. In the event of a fire, a hard of hearing or deaf person could not be gotten to. There is apparently a key that can do that but the night staff doesn't know where that key is. On the second night of our stay the maids failed to come in and clean our room. We had to get our own clean towels. The bed was not made, dirty towels were left in the room, and the trash was not emptied. The face of the drawer on the main dresser was falling off and one of the other two would not close all the way. Some of the bathroom fixtures were rusty and they hadn't cleaned the room very well prior to our arrival ... I found an extra (presumably lost) TV controller under the edge of the bed near the dust bunnies.

Accomodations were fine and the staff was friendly

The streets were under repair and made it difficult to enter the parking lot.

Convenience location on our travel and comfortable and clean room.

Hall and elevator carpet should be vacuum that was the only thing we found need improvement.

Easy on/off to I-10. Close to great resturants. Room was pretty clean but was well used. 2" diameter hole near bathroom.Breakfast was good. I expecially liked the link sausage.

The traffic pattern was strange. One way in with an loop around to the exit.

Front desk staff was professional, friendly and fun to talk to. Rooms have new beds, furniture, desks, lights, etc.

Hotel is old and although they are doing a total renovation, it is being done on the cheap. Doors don't fit the openings, could see into the hallway from the first room they put me in even though the door was closed, pretty scary. About an 1/8" gap in the doorway when door was closed to room, could see outside and vice versa. Second room they put me in had paint on the carpet and flooring still, smelled strongly of paint, no bathroom mirror yet, super low water pressure out of the shower, bad wifi signal and over feeling of being in a low-budget hotel. $79 is what I paid and the next night I found a Hampton Inn for $69 that is 100 times nicer. Unfortunately I would have to say avoid this hotel, needs to be knocked down and rebuilt from ground up. They had renovation staff out back and side of building working on their cars, etc. Very shady situation and I am almost positive the renovation was done "under the table" with illegal workers. I would rather stay somewhere else and pay than stay at this Comfort Inn for free if you get my drift.

Mattress very uncomfortable and pillows too small and too soft.

It is convenient for us when we visit our children.

The ice machine was broken and the soda machine was empty. The hot tub looked like it was either in need of cleaning our the surface needed to be repaired.
