Motel 6 La Crosse, WI

I liked the fact that the motel was close to the airport. I was clean and easy to access my room. Having a microwave and frig were nice surprises, I didn't use either one, but I liked the idea that I could if I wanted to. The price was great and I would gladly stay there again.

For the room fee, we were well taken care of. We had a comfortable sleep.

The floors along the wall were full of crumbs and such.

I liked that it had a refrigerator.

Clean and comfortable. Room was a bit small.

Air exchange in halls could use an upgrade; the lingering smell of carry-out food was quite evident.

The staff was pretty friendly. Also there were a couple of places within walking distance to eat at.

There was no refrigerator in our room. You could see where one should have been. There was an empty space where one had stood. We could tell it should have been there because my daughters room was set up the same way and she had one. The microwave in her room was setting on top the fridge. In our room the microwave set on top of the desk so we had very little room if we wanted to use the desk. Also where the fridge would have been plugged in there was a 6 point outlet plugged into a 2 point outlet and then plugged into the 6 point outlet was a surge protector with 6 plugins. The paint was peeling on the heat register. Not as much variety in the continental breakfast as most places I have stayed.

The young lady at the front desk was very accomodating regarding the ability to use the kitchen room downstairs for a gathering at night. She was over and above nice!!!!!

Your room smelled horribly of smoke and it seemed to be coming in the bathroom and room fans. It stunk when we got there and never really got better but actually worse. We slept with the window cracked open for some fresh air. Room itself was not dirty or anything though.

I did like the location. The staff that was there when we checked is was very pleasant.

The hotel needs a total overhaul. An extension cord was running out one of the security doors and plugged into a boat. When we told the night manager about it and the fact that the door would be open all night, his response was, "oh well that door is broken so it would not make any difference." Hotel is way overpriced for the quality of it. Bathrooms have rust in them, wall paper peeling. One of our box springs was covered with a sheet because it was ripped and torn. I felt dirty and unsafe.
