Main reason for choosing Shutters on the Banks: Location
The front office staff as well as house keeping are very friendly/accommodating. We absolutely loved the convenience of being on the beach, using the outdoor pool, indoor pool, and hot tub.
Check-in time is 3:00 PM. We arrived at 2:55 PM hoping to check in a few minutes early, but were told that our room wasn't ready. Our room wasn't ready until nearly 5:00 PM. The four of us were not happy, to say the least. Such an inconvenience occurring at check-in should have been compensated by something such as a $20.00 gift certificate to a particular restaurant or gas station, but sadly, it wasn't.

Main reason for choosing Shutters on the Banks: Location
Great location, right on the beach!! The most friendly staff I have ever come in contact with, very accommodating and welcoming. The room was clean and fairly spacious.
The hotel was beer for the price of champagne. It was your basic motel experience for the price of a four star hotel, but considering the location and time of year, I guess that can be expected. I did think it was a little overpriced for me.

We stayed in both buildings our favorite was first floor in the high rise. No elevator was tough with bikes.
