La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Hobby Airport

The lady at the front desk was there at both check-in and check-out. She was very friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about her. She is a true asset to your business. We will definitely stay there again.

The La Quinta was so handy to the airport, just off I-45 yet it was quiet & comfortable. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean & the morning coffee great!

Convenient to Hobby airport - about a mile. Airport noise was not a problem.

1) It was DIRTY. Our first room had water damage from the ceiling and reeked of mildew. The carpets were stained. Thankfully the hotel was very underbooked(I wonder why), so the desk clerk moved us to a room than was clean. 2) The management is doing repairs and upgrades. So it may be better in 2014. For now, avoid. 3) Breakfast was adequate, but lower quality than a La Quinta we used in Houston earlier in the week. 4) You'll need to drive a distance to find good food service, shopping, pharmacies - maybe 2-3 miles. The night clerk was not trained to give effective directions. She handed us a map of restaurants -- it lacked the detail that would be helpful to a traveler. We got lost for half an hour following her directions. 5) there are about a dozen other hotels close by. Hobby Quinta's only advantage is a price as low as its quality.
