Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hickory

The hotel was very neat and clean, much better than others we have stayed at.

The bathroom area did not have a vanity in or adjacent to it to accommodate things such as hair dryers (my own), other accessories (brushes, combs, etc).

The room was nice. The staff was nice. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was good.

The pillows were too small. I wasn't too impressed that they had a full buffet on Tuesday morning but had very little on Monday morning. I thought they would have the buffet from 6:30 to 9:30. I wasn't told that the full buffet was only available on certain days.

My wife and I had to stay one night somewhere in the Hickory vicinity due to a bathroom renovation within our home and the water being shut off. After choosing this facility online (HotelsOne) as our best choice for convenience, it turned out to be a truly positive experience within an acceptable price range. All of the personnel we made contact with were extremely courteous and very willing to make our stay a pleasant one. The room was comfy, clean and actually smelled pleasant. Extras included were a refrigerator, coffee maker with coffee, hair blower and an iron and board. Although we did not use most of these things, it was nice to have them available if needed. The bedding and linen were exceptional and well prepared. The breakfast bar had mostly hot items of just about anything you could ask for; it was better than dining out. During the evening of our stay, I remembered that I needed to send some information via the internet. I was unable to get onto their wifi without a password and so I called the front desk and the manager gave the password to me; however I was still unable to get in. Rather than bother him on the phone again, I took my laptop to the lobby and caught up with him. A misunderstanding somewhere in our previous conversation had me entering an incorrect number which blocked my access. He was so pleasant and helpful in finally getting me connected. Even though he probably could be doing other activities, he did not rush me off and we actually had an interesting conversation on various topics. If we have to or even want to spend some time in a hotel within our home area in the future, this warm and friendly place will be our first choice.

Cook did not show up on sat limited breakfast.

It was close to where i was going.

For the price, I didn't think it met everything.

The hotel was very dated and in desperate need of repairs. My blow dryer did not work, there was a hole in the ceiling in the shower stall.
