Refrigerator didn't work. Had a rolled up towel in it to catch water. TV didn't work. Staff had to come and fix. Toilet ran all night. Rug in room was FILTHY. Didn't want to go barefoot. Wore socks then threw the socks away.

Stayed in the suite. It was so spacious and had everything we needed. An excellent value. The breakfast was also very good. We appreciated it that they started very early so we could attend the birding festival.

There was nothing that I did not like.

The staff were apologetic and blamed the smell on the recent rains. but I think there is something wrong with their air system. A place should not smell like that. We had stayed at this hotel 3 times previously and had no problem.

Yes, from the moment we stepped in, the reception area smelled musty. We thought maybe there had been some water damage in the downstairs area, but when we got to our room, it also smelled bad. We turned on the air conditioner and had to leave immediately to meet some friends for dinner and we thought it would be fresher when we returned. Got back in around 11:00 and when we got to the room, we were immediately hit with the humid musty odor again. We went to reception and asked if all the rooms were musty and the lady said no and said we could try another room on the third floor. As soon as we opened the door, we knew it wasn't any better and went back to reception and told them. She said they had given us an upgrade, but all we wanted was a non-musty room. She then asked us to try a room on the first floor----it was the same. She said she could try to place us in another place but by this time it was so late, so we decided to just put up with it and went back to our smelly room. We did not get any rest, because of the mustiness and then the air conditioner kept cutting off and on all night. We finally got up at 5:00a.m. and checked out.

I loved this hotel! My children loved this hotel, and we will stay here every time we are in Harlingen. It feels like you are walking into cozy home. There was always coffee and cookies in the lobby, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, and well kept. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a great hotel at a great price. If you're there visiting an MMA cadet, call them directly about MMA discounts.

Breakfast, courteous staff, complimentary shuttle, and treadmill.

Pool and hot tub were not usable. There was algae in both pool and hot tub. This was the biggest disappointment. Also one piece of fitness equipment was not working. The room had a stinch of mold-on the first floor Rm 110.
