Hotel Halifax

I had a harbourview room on the first floor near the fitness centre/pool. It was great because I enjoyed the view of the ships in the harbour and also the pool and hot tub. The staff was amazing...super friendly and helpful!:-) Thanks so much to Alex in the The Harbour City Grill downstairs--offers wonderful seafood in papillotte ( in parchment paper) dinner and if you order the 3 side extra ($15) you have a wonderful inexpensive gourmet meal. That paired with one of Nova Scotia's Tidal Bay whites, is an exquisite meal. I was so impressed that I went two different evenings for the same dinner!

The carpets on the first floor needed freshening up...decor was a little dated in hallway and around pool.

Great room, good service, close to downtown and waterfront. The food at the restaurant was excellent. My dog was treated well by all the staff.

Parking was expensive.

Staff was very friendly especially the cleaning lady we liked the room it was of a decent size we also liked the swimming pool .

Mattresses are kinda soft we prefer a firmer mattress and pillows

Exceptional service provided by all staff - customer service, restaurant. Very friendly & welcoming throughout, attentive, responsive to needs. Food and service in hotel restaurant was very, very good. We stayed twice in one month. Our exeperience was consistent for both stays. Staff seem to really enjoy working for the hotel. Their friendly customer service approach comes across as very genuine.

We love staying at this hotel. Location is fantastic. Staff is very helpful. We mentioned at check-in that it was our anniversary. We went and settled into our room then went out for a while. Upon our return to our room, Keith ( who checked us in) had very thoughtfully sent up a tray with cheese, crackers and sparkling water with a very nice note attached

Outstanding customer service. Very welcoming, responsive, accommodating. Restaurant food and service were also excellent. Convenient location - short walk to the boardwalk. Would definitely stay there again.

We liked the location - the restaurant - and the wait staff there were very good - parking close by - it was all good - front desk staff were very nice.

We were there at New Year's and the price was expensive. But on the other hand we were going to a show at the Casino so we did not have to go outside to get there which we felt was a real bonus1
