Main reason for choosing The Biltmore Greensboro Hotel: Location

The location was great for my needs. I was able to walk from the train station, and there are several places to eat within walking distance. I loved the building and its history. I loved the high ceilings in my room (2nd floor), as you don't get that at modern hotels.
The door on Room 223 was hard to open. I had to push quite hard. However, it's understood that the building is older.

We stayed because our hardwood floors in our home were being resanded. I picked the downtown location so we could use this enforced time slot to become more familiar with the vibrant downtown that is Greensboro, NC. We sampled dining, cultural amenities, entertainment, and shopping.

We love older properties that have been well maintained, and this one was great for atmosphere and location.
This isn't a problem for us, but if you need everything super modern and streamlined, this isn't right for you.

Comfortable room layout. Courteous staff. Nice breakfast. Interesting old building. Liked proximity to Elm St. & restaurants, etc.
Some areas a little rough around the edges - worn carpet. Mattress felt cheap.
