Escale Oceania Brest

We booked the hotel as an extra day (Sunday) following a Gite holiday near Quimper and had hoped to view some properties on the way up to Brest. We booked a family room as we had our son and his 2 year old daughter with us. The room was adequate, clean and modern. Our only complaint (but one that actually spoiled our stay) was that we were unable to order a drink either alcoholic or non-alcholic at 8:00pm in the evening. we were simply told that the bar was closed and there was nothing that could be done. After much discussion we were finally served some coffee which I had to carry up to our room. Unfortunately it was cold and undrinkable as it was made by the receptionist who struggled to use the machine and was unable to heat the milk. Such a shame and quite strange in this day and age that basic refreshments are not available in an airport hotel.
