Glenstone Lodge

The front desk staff was very courteous and attentive. We had a couple of issues with our room and it was immediately handled to our satisfaction.

Service in the restaurant wasn’t very good. Our server disappeared after her initial visit to serve our drinks. Had to ask another employee to refill our drinks. Our dishes were never cleared being it was buffet style. She never checked on us to see if everything was good. Disappointed in our service.

It is really a nice place with a beautiful pool with the waterfall. We received an upgrade and the room was huge and nice!

Not against the hotel, but the kids groups that are there in Gatlinburg, need to set a curfew on the kids. The door slamming and running the halls going on until after 1:00 AM was the worst part!

We were very disappointed. The was a waterfall right outside our room that ran until 10 pm. It was so loud you could not hear the tv. There was a group of high school kids in the pool. They were yelling and screaming. Since it is an indoor pool there was a very loud echo effect. When we talked to the front desk about the noise level they would not do anything about it. The room was dark. The light bulbs were dull and yellow, if they worked at all. Most of the outlets did not work. We will not be back.

It was quiet and clean. The screen for bedbugs came up clear. Good.

#1: There are times that one just HAS to have carts to help unload. It is an expectation that a motel/hotel has a way to get one's bags to the fifth floor - post surgery complication. THERE WERE NO CARTS EVER...PM/AM. The staff said that people just keep the carts in their rooms (I don't believe that - how do they walk around?) Provide carts. #2: Room 523 did not have internet service. The front desk said to bring the computer to the desk and use it where the router would see it. Had to use my phone to work on some urgent business. #3: The handle/lock on the bathroom door did not work. #4: We were unable to turn OFF the bathroom light. The switch is broken. #5: Most places in Gatlinburg have refrigerators in the room. Every year I come to Gatlinburg to begin a family reunion weekend. I have stayed in a different motel each year - usually. I will never stay at the Gladstone if there are other options.

The commode was torn up.

Good Location, good breakfest

Light bulbs out and TV Problems never fixed.
