Howard Johnson by Wyndham Gananoque

It was our second visit to this hotel and we found the accommodation very good and the breakfadt offered a wide variety.

Our room smelled a bit musty when first entering.

3 couples met here from June 15 through June 19 to celebrate a reunion in the Thousand Islands' area. We had 3 adjacent rooms near the pool area on ground level in the high building. Nice to sit outside in the grass. The rooms were renovated not too long ago and were clean, nice and roomy. Bathroom has one sink and a tub/shower. Service was excellent. The front desk people helped us in anyway they could. There was enough parking at this time. Breakfast is so so:. Waffle maker, 3 different cereals, bread, muffins (dry), yogurt, fruit (apples and banana), scrambled eggs ans sausages which were not very tasty. coffee tea and a variety of juices. The hotel is in walking distance from nice restaurants, the cruise boats and the Saint. Lawrence river. I would recommend this hotel also since the prices are very reasonable.

We enjoyed visiting back and forth and picnicking outside our rooms. There were ten rooms rented to my family members who were attending an event on pSaturday night. The easygoing breakfast room was great in the morning.

It was walking distance to a restaurant.

Breakfast wasn't until 7:30, far too late for a weekday. Plus, there was no info in the room or online that indicated breakfast time. The front desk was locked and didn't answer the phone when I called at around 6:30 to inquire about the time for breakfast. We'd been travelling for 13 days, and every motel that offered breakfast, offered it at 6:00 or 6:30 during the week. I'd never stay at the Howard Johnson motel again. Although the room had very recently been renovated, the renovations weren't quite finished. Can't remember what was missing. Also, there was a leak under the sink that we put a plastic wastepaper basket under. The hair dryer didn't work. There were pot lights in the ceiling, but no table or floor lamps, so the room was dark.

By having room at back of location, very quiet. The young lady working the desk and also looking after continental breakfast area was very courteous, efficient and friendly to all guests.

Larger towels for shower use building seemed to be a little old and tired looking some components of continental breakfast were no name quality

One very small trash can in room.Trash can was not emptied the next day when the beds were made. Outside of motel was in need of repair.

Good location at a fair price

Very unhappy about the fact that we had paid for the room and told us that it was not paid! He had returned by mail the invoice to be paid back in a second time!
