Galveston Beach Hotel

The hotel is in great location.

The room had a very strong odor of cat. Although the whole room had a smell lie someone had expent a week with pets in the room, one of the beds spread and pillows had a strong odor of cats. In the front desk tere was a sign asking visitors to declare if tey had pets, but because how the hotel is built people bypass the front desk and get into rooms with pets. Next door to our room was someone with a dog.

Spa, compurt room, laundry room.

More beach area, not boulders, more fast food restaurants.would staff young girlmseemed uninterested in helping

Not very much. The view form the room was pretty good.

The construction guys working at 8:30 9 at night making a lot of noise, the shower didn't work there was no stopper for the tub. there was only 1 small trash can. walls so thin you could hear a pin drop in the next room. Informed the girl at breakfast that they were out of coffee and she responded "there's two of them...and I told her, yes and they are both empty

When I went to check in it took me 20 minutes to find someone to do that, no one was at front desk. Pool was VERY VERY DIRTY had algie on one whole wall. I would nor go in it. The following day when we came back to room at 4PM the room was not cleaned and I had to call front desk to get someone up to clean the room. I would not stay there again

Liked the rooms were comfortable, good beds, and clean inside room. Close to sea wall, but not by the beach.

When we looked on line this hotel had a picture of the hotel by the beach, as if you could walk to it, but it was not so, it is close to the sea wall, there is a difference. We had to drive 5 miles down to get to an actual beach with sand. I did not like the "tricky" picture. I also did not like how crowded the breakfast are gets in the morning, 2 waffle irons and people were in line waiting, some making 5 waffles at a time per person! Did not like the only 2 elevators, they were old and nasty and did not even connect to the Lobby, had to use the stair case everytime to get to Lobby x our room. The elevators would take forever too, had to stand and wait a long time. I will never stay in this hotel again. Should have gone to the Hampton.
