Beachfront Palms Hotel Galveston

My wife had a knee replacement and used a cane to walk and support. Room location was not close to lobby. I did not ask to be moved which I should have.

It was very clean. Right across from the beach and there was several places within walking distance. All employees we very kind and courteous really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely stay there again.

The free breakfast was not very diabetic friendly. But they had several choices

Clean room with comfy bed and great view of pool and ocean too Fresh coffee waiting down stairs in morning, people very friendly

Would like cups or glass in room

I liked that the room was on the same level as the office. I liked the view of the swimming pool. The exterior of the building was nice.

We checked into our hotel room around 5-6:00pm. We ran a few errands & brought dinner back to our room. When we got ready to shower and took our shoes off, we found that the carpet was Soaking Wet, especially by the bathroom area and between the bed and bathroom wall. I could not believe that this had gone unnoticed and unreported. Being both exhausted from our trip and disabled, chose not to complain to front desk for room exchange. Just wanted to go to bed. Spoke with Assistant Manager who suggested that our room could possible be comped. It was not. Our room had an unpleasant smell-most likely from the wet carpet. The bed was uncomfortable. Because of the carpet, it felt nasty. Big disappointment all around.

Great continental breakfast HOWEVER it would have been perfect with additioinal of fresh fruit (understand that may be too costly) but adding Gluten Free Chex to ceral container would be easy. More and more people on gtuen free diets these days.

I asked for gulf view and was told yes we do have on phone but upon check-in was told that there were only partial views on most rooms and the room I got did not have any

It took over an hour to check in, as the reservation and confirmation number were no where to be found.....that was really frustrating. This was the first time I had had a problem. I came close to going to another hotel....when traveling, that kind of problem at the end of a day makes it tough; but we made it through it all........

Rest in the room despite near the shipyard and the church.

I has gotten no room for my hotel bill from the mission statement for my company because I have posted on your agency. The bill I get from you I was told. Is that so??
