The offer of the shuttle service is great. We ended up not needing it but it was great to know it was there. The overnight staff was very friendly.
The hotel is old so there is old dirt (the stool and some corners) but the bed was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again despite this.

Howard Johnson East was very convient to where we needed to go. Staff was great - check in and out easy - room comfortable and breakfast good.

Great Hotel
Well we come to Evansville every august for the Frog Follies Car Show, usually staying two or three nights. The last two years the rate has doubled. The normal rate is around $70.00 per night, now it's over $130.00. It looks like all the hotels and gas stations run there rates up during this event. There are around 4000 car in this event plus all the folks that come to see the cars. I am very disappointed that this type of thing happened when this is a charity for children event.

We liked the convenience to Trinity College in Newburgh and it was near all kinds of convenient places to shop and eat. This is my 5th stay from when I attended classes at Trinity, and it was my husband's first stay, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Desk staff moved slow. I had a non-smoking room and it smelled like smoke.

When we checked in we overheard " why isn't the pool open"... Then the staff replied " I don't know.. Water sample didn't pass inspection.. Something about the bacteria"... Also we parked in the back by the entry to our exit and there was someone constantly there telling me about a bench and the fact someone ( her dad or boyfriend) had his eardrum eaten out.. I didn't even wanna leave my room! I told the front desk.. She said " I'm sorry.. That's gross".. Good was great n hotel was great.. Ppl were different.. Not their fault though:)
