Main reason for choosing Rodeway Inn Elko Downtown Area: Rate
I like the easy check-in for the late arrival because it was pre-paid. The room was marked smoke-free and there was no detection of stale smoke. The bed was comfortable but needed 2 pillows which were already in the room. The shower was nice but leaked water all over the floor.
The coffee in the room was old.

Pet friendly, easy to find. Nice Mex restaurant across the street. Park for the dog a block behind. Plenty of ice. No/little adjacent room noise.
Loud construction early in the morning right outside the property on the street. crummy cramped breakfast - no seating and little need for it. We could NOT get the room to cool off - a lack of electrical outlets didn't help (the hook up behind the TV, Fridge, and convection oven (no micro wave!)was, well, scary!).

The office staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and quiet. Price was reasonable -- especially during fair/rodeo time. Nice to have a microwave and fridge to available. The continental breakfast was an added bonus.
Bedspread appeared to be clean, BUT the underside had dozens of cigarette burns in it -- and this was in a non-smoking room. I couldn't locate any grounded wall outlets in which to plug in my laptop's power supply. All the grounded appliances in the room, microwave, fridge and TV were plugged into a single power strip. Isn't this a fire hazard?

It's on the main street.
The shower head fell off and there was no air conditioning.
