Two peices of laundry a day free. Service to the room was good. Early checkin was alowed, baggage room was checkin/out was good.
TV never worked properly. It took two minutes for the channel to change. One of the channels the sound never came in consistantly. Asked for this to be fixed but never was fixed in the three days we were there. The room next door sound came right through the wall.could hear the people next door walking in their room.

Restaurant food and staff excellant,very helpful.greeting at reception the same.
During the day there was periodic hammering and drill like noises from a source unknown even sunday morning. try playing italian music especially in the restaurant----zucchero would seem appropriate but this is just a personal taste.

Outstanding and gorgeous hotel, perfect location; on the corner of the Royal Mile, a few steps from Edinburgh Castle. Staff was friendly and helpful. Furnishings were top of the line, from linens to lighting and the bathroom hardware. Loved the bathroom, hairdryer and shower! Rooms are on the small side but reasonably well laid out; however, there was not sufficient storage space (shelves, drawers) for clothing.

Loved the shower, linens, espresso machine, funky bar and delicious drinks.
Insufficient storage for clothing. Two small drawers are not sufficient for the clothing of two travelers! Also, breakfast was too expensive, even for Europe.
