Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
The temps of the pools were consistently cold - we ended up not spending as much time in the pools as a result. Also, while friendly, some of the staff members in the arcade seemed to need additional training. I didn't feel like I received the correct answers to my questions, had to re-ask several times to get the information I needed.

The young people who work at Metropolis were extremely friendly & helpful to us, as we were new to the resort & needed to have things explained.

The room was modern and stylish. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.
The pub was full of children and very small so it was noisy. The hotel was extremely noisy, even though we specifically requested being placed far from the water park. After some serious noise problems outside in the parking lot, we tried to reach the front desk at 3 AM repeatedly. No one ever answered. The breakfast facility was far from ideal, and the selection was poor.

Ate at Action City, swam in the water park, had a beer at the Tavern, played at Action City
The approach could have more welcoming signage - it is such an industrial area it looked more like a factory than a Resort-Motel.

Location.
Yes. When checking in we couldn't. The air conditioner did not work and tbey were fixing it. Hours later we were exhausted and the walls are paper thin. We heard the kids next door and above us. All night long voices were in the hallway. I'm a good sleeper and didn't get any sleep at this hotel. We have stayed tbere before but the hotel has gone down hill and we won't be back.

Our room door would not lock so it was uncomfortable leaving the room or feeling safe at night.We were change told that we could change rooms but our kids were next door so we did not.

The children enjoyed the water park and action city.
The air conditioning in the room was deafening, and when it was on we had to turn up the t.v. And when it was off, it was very hot in the room.

The beds are terible. I was unable to sleep in my bed and the second night I slept in the recliner chair provided. Not good for my back.

Very nice! We were surprised; not knowing what to expect. Very modern decor in our room, almost Euro look; lean, spotless, and seemingly brand new. We didn't utilize their water park, race track, or the numerous things that would make kids very, very happy. That said, we never heard a sound, either from outside (along I-94) or from other guests. Nice.
