Dubai International Hotel, Dubai Airport

What a good idea to place a hotel inside an airport used as the home hub for an international airline. For travellers on long flights wishing to break the journey, and perhaps beat the jet lag, this is an excellent option. The hotel sits above the departure concourse and it’s hard to beat having a hotel room two minutes walk from the departure gate. Rooms are well appointed, clean and a good size. Many food options are available in the departure terminals. The meet and greet service is excellent and pretty much essential if the arriving flight lands in a separate terminal; it would be all too easy for the dazed traveller to spend many hours stumbling through the halls of this massive airport.

Not having to go through customs and immigration.

Confusion as to how to transfer my checked bag between terminals. The first person I spoke with made it sound automatic. The second confirmed there would be a Maharba charge.

Its getting a little too expensive

Convenient, modern, clean and located inside airport so no need to go through immigration prior to flight. Was upgraded to suite at no extra cost

Best thing was being met by your staff member called"Anna" who took me straight to the hotel check in. Lovely lady and on my way to business class flight the next morning without me asking for this service, the concierge "Rami"? Took me all the way to business class lounge and informed me of the area in which to board the flight . Absolutely GREAT service!! ? Would have liked to have gone for a swim but was unaware that in concourse B there is a pool. So disappointed . Went shopping and had a meal. In concourse "A" their is a reat french restaurant that sells organic food would be great if the airport had one in each concourse rather than fast food.

Being met at my gate

Staff met us at the gate and guided us through a complicated situation with our luggage. They changed the location of the hotel for us so that we would be ready for our next flight in the morning. We would have been lost without their help specially since we arrived about midnight after leaving home 24 hours earlier. Great experience.
