Holiday Inn Express Colorado Springs Airport, an IHG Hotel

We enjoyed the pool, spa and breakfast

The hotel carpets and décor seemed worn.

It was a great location with easy access from the highway.

The beds were very firm and the pillows very lumpy. My bed had a dip in one side and was very uncomfortable.

My son forgot two of his snapback hats at the hotel. We discovered this several hours later. One hat was custom made by him. I was extremely pleased to learn that the hotel located his hats and set them aside for us to pick up.

My son was disappointed that the pancake machine was out of service. The ice machine was also broken.

Efficient check in

The young lady at the front desk was so very nice, polite and helpful to us. She is truly an asset to your motel staff.

There was a strange odor in the room. Could not determine what it was. Also, the coffee pot was up really high on the microwave. If you are short, it is hard to get to the coffee pot.

Friendliness of the desk staff.

It would have been nice to have had shampoo in the bathroom on the first night--the bar of soap was not an adequate substitute. A replacement coffee packet would have been nice the second day.

It was located close to where we had to travel that weekend for a funeral.

The room was tiny. The door opened into the swinging door of the bathroom, very poor design. The phone was inoperable. The TV was wired into the light switch by the entry, very poor thinking on that idea. Breakfast in place of a pool, but the hotel next door (Holiday Inn) has a pool, come to find out you must be registered there to use it even though they have the same coporate name, just not an "Express". We rented two rooms for two nights and spent way too much money for the facility, I guess it is intended for those flying in and out of the airport and is to be expected, very dis-satisfied as a multiple night stay location for a family function.
