Receptionist was not professional. I booked an oceanview room, and she gave me a view of the parking lot in the back and told me specific rooms were not guaranteed, even though my reservation stated so. Th manager honored my reservation the following day and gave me a room with oceanview. Then, upon checkout, the same receptionist demanded my receipt for my towels being turned in at the pool before she would let me check out. It was 5am and I had a flight to catch. Bureaucratic procedures and nasty treatment of customers really dissuade return customers. I had stayed there before but will probably stay somewhere else if I return to Cancun in the future.

We have had time share for week 41 since 1982. I have never for one second had a bad experience at the Royal Mayan. We still see the same staff, have the same cleaning staff, and see loyal wait staff. What a treat!! I only wish it was going to continue.
