Churston Manor

Very enjoyable stay, better than we could have ever imagined.

Hoel very poorly marked, that difficult to sleep before midnight because he has the background music a bit strong, have enttend staff rooms when he puts the night, the small windows do not close properly and agreement the people who drink and talk it out! bathroom or they have nothing to ask or accocher! It was not specifying expected when booking a hotel that bar and restaurant! "We would not have chosen this hotel because we love the quiet! The decor is very original! bad the staff does not speak a little French at all!

Obviously does not cater for businessmen. Firstly breakfast is served from 8.30 with NO alternative for those wanting to leave early,even a continental breakfast. No hot water for a shower at 6.30 !!! Presume the boiler works in conjunction with breakfast. Mobile reception is virtually non existent but there are no room landline phones. Would never consider placing clients in this establishment.

There were no touristy leaflets etc only silly theme park info. This is supposed to be an 'adult' hotel so where is all the adult friendly info? No bus time-tables available, no local maps available. Even when asked for some local travel info, no-one was able to give any. When we arrive at a new hotel we like to pick up a folder in our room and see what is on offer in the area. No such luck here.

Interesting clean Comfortable Good service and excellent food

Whilst the hotel was in a beautiful setting the rooms looking on to the court yard / front suffered from noise from people leaving as late as 1:00 am and workers outside starting at 5:30 am Breakfast was poor only continental before 8:30 Drinks at the bar were expensive 1 pint of beer and a large wine 250cl cost £7.75 Needs to brighten up its decoration too much use of one colour and badly painted in places

The location was in a charming setting with plenty of parking spaces. The Inn was full of character and served good food.
