Spaciousness of the room. The location was in easy reach of Stanley Park, good for walks, and away from the raz ma taz of the South Shore.
The choice of on site eateries. There was only the bar near the golf club with uninteresting bar meals or the formal brassiere where choices were very expensive. Previous stays there were more choices.

Trying to get into our room with the card key was rather tiresome and when in the room sometimes we couldn`t get the lights on, so I take it it was worn.I had to bother the night staff to get into the room, also maintenance when we couldn`t get the lights on. Also I would have liked 2 hand & 2 bath towels not just one of each for my husband and I to share, I know we could have asked for the extra towels but I felt we should have had them anyway, at the price of the room. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant and the breakfast was v. good.

The golf facilities was very good,and leisure
Had a meal on the first night and only had a pasta dish, me and my wife, also two drinks, this come to almost £50 this i thought was quite expesive.

Warmth, both in the general areas and in the room. Food, both in the Golf bar and in the breakfast room. Car parking is generous and is not charged as an extra.
Key card did not work smoothly and efficiently both in the door and the room docking station. Bathroom was functional with plenty of hot water and lovely towels but the sealant was in awful state and a toiletry shelf would have been nice.

the hotel location and the comfort
I was asked if i would be paying by debit card or credit card i replied debit card as i did not wish to pay the extra £2.50 so i paid by debit , when i got home i checked my bill to find they had charged me the £2.50 for using a debit card .naughty .

I used this hotel for one night as it was near the venue for a party I attended with my friend and my niece. The hotel was comfortable. The staff were helpful. We had breakfast on the following morning and that was excellent.

The quietness when in the bedroom. There was a tray for making drinks.
There was only 1 packet of biscuits on the tray. The bathroom was a little "tired". But these are very minor complaints.

As I completed the room review I will say the same again, the bathroom was very very poor, chipped bath burn marks on sink everything in the bedroom was very used and dated. The hallways to the bedrooms was very poor carpet and scuffed walls every where. Been to a few De Vere hotels as we like to think quality but! Herons Reach begininng to look like a normal Blackpool hotel SCRUFFY and unkept. What a shame standards are not kept to as the setting is super.

Wasn't too happy with a marked bath. Luckily I only wanted a shower but although I knew the marks weren't dirt it didn't look too good. Very little information in room re facilities available.

Breakfast was excellent however we had to ask for tea perhaps whoever seats you could take order on seating as many hotels do abroad.
