The only thing I thought was off was in the shower. there was no place to put soap or shampoo other than the floor Or through that opening to turn the water on, but that was not practical). there should be a little shelf for that.

The water pressure was good in our shower
The staff was terrible. I spend 120 nights a year in a hotel and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. No "welcome" "Hi" anything. Nothing but whats your name and this is a non smoking hotel and if you do it will cost you. The worst Embarrassing.

We were at a conference in Birmingham and needed a convenient place to stay. The room was clean and decorated very nicely. I had heard the Redmont was nice and I was not disappointed. The staff was nice. The building was interesting and I liked the elevator doors.
The lobby was not very interesting.

No clock, no in room coffee service, no hangers. Fire alarm went off twice. Crowd gathered on the street in front of the hotel at 3 am - went on for 30 minutes before the police came and broke it up. Have stayed at the Redmont in the past during the Mercedes Marathon but this was definitely the last time

The staff handled themselves very well during a recent snow event. It was a chaotic situation and everyone was very stressed. They did a good job.
Only one elevator was operational. There was only one drink machine in the entire facility. Due to the weather conditions, there was no food available. No vending machines.

Location
The fire alarm went off at 2:00 in the morning.
There were 3 or 4 dead poinsettias in the lobby -- quite unappealing --would have been better to have them thrown out and have no plants at all.

IT was convenient to find and park and the room was nicely equiped.
The front desk staff was not available when checking in. A couple in front of me had been waiting for over 15-20 minutes and even tried calling the main number to get someone to pick up. We were finally greeted by a non-desk worker who was quite helpful and gave us keys.
