The (Jolly) Dude Rancher Lodge an older motel; it's layout is a bit quirky (and that's a compliment), has excellent WiFi, and it's located in downtown Billings, near a walkable restaurant district. Two opposable thumbs up.

Cool old-timey feeling to the place. Courtyard parking. Nice remodeled bathrooms. Helpful staff (gave me directions to the nearest laundromat). Close to lots of places to eat and to the Rookie League ballpark.
No elevator (at least we didn't see one) for second floor rooms. Doors don't always shut easily (both room doors and our bathroom door).

Convenient location, plus free taxi from airport! Clean, comfortable rooms with friendly helpful staff. Easy walking distance to grocery and drug stores and on-site restaurant make this a great place to stay in Billings.

Not far from airport. Reasonable price
Carpet looked very dirty. Room too small for two beds. Very difficult to reach due to one-way streets in Billings.

Montana was a great place for a vacation, i will stay at a different hotel next time.
Dirty, carpet was stained, you could not adjust the A/C because the knobs were broken. Bathroom wall was stained and chipping because of water damage. The room was over priced for the quality. I just watched Hotel Impossible....they may have done one room but the rest were not touched. Room 225 has not been touched since the 70's. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. It was one step above a roach motel.

Billings Montana...great, clean city
The room was small, carpet was really stained, I could not adjust the a/c, the knobs just turned and did not adjust. The cable went out a couple of times.

It was located close to Denny's Restaurant and a nice bar and grill restaurant. It had a coffee machine in the room and also in the comfortable gathering room on the first floor. It had supply of daily free newspapers. I was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Large supply of towels and soaps. I stay at the Dude Rancher everytime I go to Billings for family reunions and HiSchool Reunions. I will stay there again. Also the parking was convenient.

The Montana Brewing Company for dinner a few blocks away.
This hotel needs some care and attention paid to repair and rug replacement.
Non smoking room smelled like it was last weeks smoking room.
