Red Oak Inn Detroit Metro Airport - Belleville

Restaurants are a walk away, good choices of fast food and /or dine in. My dog is welcome and no extra fee. The bed was comfy and big.

There was nothing I liked about the hotel and the service wad bad

They didn't have a room on the ground floor that I ask for ,I had to go to the desk and ask for a follow-up bed I had ask for when I booked the room ,the audio was down and the manger gave me the number to call which I thought was his job we had to ask for more than two towels and washcloth

Friendly counter staff. Easy access from expressway and restaurants and gas stations nearby. Room was ready and clean. My stay was during the week and the room was not next to another guest. Found the room quiet and although close to the freeway, I could not hear traffic.

No toilet paper when I got in the room, but one call to the desk and within 30 minutes housekeeping brought some. Garbage was not emptied the next day I checked in and the floor needed to be vacuumed.

The first room had no heat, no phone, non-functioning tv remote, the fan in the bathroom sounded like it was going to lift off, and the lampstand had an ac recepticle that just pushed inside the lampstand. The second room had no lights except in the bathroom. The third room had only one electric heater working (of two). I was concerned that the one heater would be overworked so I checked the smoke detector. It didn't work. This is now an hour and a half after I arrived at the motel. The only remedy offered at the front desk was another room. I felt like I was working for them inspecting their rooms and reporting what needs to be done. I was offered no credit or discount.
