Very clean, excellent service, excellent restaurant on site.
In the room I had (room 202), there was too much noise from the outside roof-located hotel central ventilation system. Clients should be offered less noisy room based on preference and sensitivity to noise. I understand that some clients may not care about the constant engine noise.

The Hotel was clean.
I had a free breakfast coupon, but we sat at our table for 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. We were not served coffee or water. After 20 minutes, we left. Therefore, the free breakfast ended costing me money because we went to eat somewhere else. We did not have the time to wait any longer.

My two grandchildren and I stayed overnight on Thanksgiving to visit other relatives and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had stayed at the econo lodge last time we went to Bangor and this Holiday inn was so much nicer. A pleasant surprise to find a hot tub in the pool area as there was no mention of this on the website. The bath was spotless and bedding was very clean with a higher thread count than expected.The 3 of us felt safer here too. We will come here again.
It would of been nice to have a thermostat for the heat... we had to keep turning the heat on then shutting it off... so it seemed we were either too hot or cold...but it was workable.

Close to major highway
When I reserved my room over the telephone I was told that breakfast would be included in the cost of the room. Since the price was $60 higher than other area hotels I booked with Holiday Inn knowing that there wouldn't be an additional expense for breakfast. When my family arrived in the dining room we were told that breakfast was NOT included but kids eat free. I served my children and went to the front desk to straighten things out without any success. The kicker is that I paid the higher price, two of us adults did not eat, and then the hotel stuck me with another $18 charge for the breakfast we never ate!
