All of the above! the location, staff, cleanliness were all excellent.
We had no hot water in the morning. However, staff were happy to let me shower in another room!

Proximity to city centre and CBD, easy walk to our conference at Auckland University and access to local restaurants etc.
Nowhere to hang up one's clothes for the period of my stay (8 days) and nowhere to sit in the room. TV did not always work well either.

Friendly and competent staff, clean rooms, fantastic location
Small rooms but adequate and cheap. Wouldn't want to live there, but as a short stay couldn't be faulted

The lady at the front desk at check in was really nice to deal with
No parking outside available to bring a bag in/check in and get overnight car park instructions.
Then having to park around the block and walking back in the rain

Friendly helpful receptionists. Great location. Good atmosphere. Great to have cooking facilities. View of the sky tower and the harbour. Little balcony.
There was a funny smell in one of the drawers in the kitchenette (rm 1704).

Small rooms, but clean and affordable. The staff was extremely helpful. My car was towed and they called around and located it for me. They made that situation way more bearable.
