The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Attached pub to hotel.
It is getting old and run down. The room we stayed in was very small. The deck was filthy. There was an extension cord that ran from somewhere outside through a hole in the wall into an outlet in the room. The shelf the AC was on is about to fall apart. Way overpriced at $84 a nite.

It was right down the street from the start of the Iditarod this stay. it also had a great Restaurant in the facility and I got to meet the Jamaican musher while eating dinner. it has always been withion walking distance of everything I wanted downtown, and has free parking and internet, which is rare for an Anchorage downtown Hotel. Staff is great.
They need a little bigger exercise room. they have a bike a treadmill and weight machine. If they had an eliptical it would be perfect. I usually get lots of exercise walking around anchorage as well.
They also seem to have a hard time spelling a simple mname like Charles, as well.

Location - within walking distance of everything downtown. Affordability for families.
Parking - I realize winter conditions sometimes restrict parking.

A bit too much noise, especially on the north side of the hotel.

Excellent person at the check in counter
My last day Housekeeping was quite invasive in getting me out of my room. Yes, it was after 11:00 am, but I was online in a business meeting which ran past the hour, and she was outside my room, knocking, running vacuum, banging other doors. VERY loud and distracting. I was out before Noon and she was cleaning a room at the far end of the hallway...
