Hotel Maya

Hotel appeared to be well run and had a pleasant atmosphere. The room was clean and well maintained. I liked the view from my window. The lifts worked very well. The buffet dinner was fine and waiter service good. The number 2 bus service to city centre from just outside Hotel entrance was a great as was the proximity of MARQ tram station.

I did not like the breakfast as the milk tasted horrible so I couldn't eat the cornflakes or drink the coffee. Consequently I had my café con leche & croissant every morning in the little nearby café 'El Desayuno' on calle Valero Bermajo and that was fine.

Hotel location was fine. On the nearby seafront, you can easily reach the center and the harbor walk. Nearby is a large shopping center.

As with all of our hotels we have visited through Euro Bookings also booked this hotel with half-board, breakfast and dinner buffet. We have chosen this hotel because the hotel and Euro Bookings the dinner buffet, as one of the best in Alicante, have recommended. We got a hotel booked previously canceled. During the first night of our stay was found that there was no there was a buffet dinner. The restaurant was closed. Instead we got a dinner buffet, lunch in the cafeteria offered a small menu simple. There were only two possible choices. This we were not satisfied because the price we have been paying far too high. After two days we emigrated to the better restaurants in the center and the port of Alicante. On which we at Euro Bookings our complaint. Bookings Euro has much to unilaterally handled. They listened too much to the stories of the hotel over to complaint from their customers. This we are still very dissatisfied. Bookings Euro, not currently and never Hotel Maya!

It was a friendly hotel with very pleasant Receptionist, Bar and Dining room staff, which is a bonus these days, no matter where you are in the world.

The only thing thatI was extremely disappointed in was the fact that on the internet, the hotel was just .9 of a kilometer, from the airport, over 24 euros for a taxi because the hotel was miles away in Alicante, the result being return taxi cost 50 euros instead of around 10 euro taxis if the hotel had been situated, as, advertised, big difference. That did spoil things for my budget.

Very friendly staff who spoke good English and offered advice regarding the best restaurants and places to see in town. We asked for a room with sea view and they made sure that we got it. Great service!

The helpful staff and listening to customers, who have had disagreements with neighbors was 1 am in 5 minutes with staff the issue is resolved.

Everything. The reception was excellent especially after a long voyage. The spacious room with a lovely balcony. The restaurant is superb, magnificent buffet. The hotel's location has allowed us to visit Alicante walk for 4 days. Very happy with our stay.
