The staff were all polite and professional. Room cleaning service were superwomen, taking care of every detail.

I love old town Alexandria. Everything about the hotel was great.

When I booked the hotel, I googled Hampton Inn Old Town Alexandria on King Street and I was connected with someone for reservations. I was never told I was going through Hotel.com. I thought I was speaking right with the Hampton Inn. I was quoted a price of $139 the first night and $99/night for the next two nights. When I got to the hotel, I was told they never have rooms for that price and because of the symbol before the price, the Hampton informed me that the prices can change. This was never relayed to me. I felt like I was betrayed believing I was getting the price I was quoted but in reality the first night was $169 and then $139/night for the next two nights. At that point, I could not leave. I will be very careful from now on when booking anything.

The staff members were helpful and courteous, storing our luggage before and after check-in/check-out times. My two grandchildren were delighted by the breakfast choices. The location was great for Amtrak, Metro into DC, and exploration of King Street restaurants and shops.

This hotel offers a very confortable stay at a reasonable price and is conveniently located in Old Town for shopping and a wide choice of good restaurants. It is also located, with a two minute walk, to the King Street Metro station that gets you to Washington in about 20 minutes.
