Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alamosa, an IHG Hotel

Ever thing was great, nice folks, great rooms, yummy breakfast and 24/7 coffee bar with fresh cookies and the swimming pool was refreshing and clean

Staff very friendly! Great breakfast and evening cookies! Enjoyed the warm swimming pool and appropriately hot, hot tub. Small but nice exercise room. Would gladly stay again! Thank you!

Not sure how or if you can let people know who arrive late, like after 10:30 or so, to tread quietly. A university track team arrived at their rooms around 10:45 pm and they must have been in and out of their rooms 15-20 times, each time letting the door bang against the safety bar lock each time. Not your fault but made getting to sleep very difficult. Couldn't get sauna to work. Also the lat pull on the weight machine seemed to get stuck.

The lighting was dark, everwhere.

Always had water/coffee/treats for the guest in the lobby (even the 4 legged ones) plus they left the breakfast out past the time mentioned which was nice since we got in late the night before.

Pillows too thick....but we will bring our own next time...can't please everyone.

The breakfast was great. Good quality food.

The king suite layout did not make any sense. The entire reason for getting a "suite" is to have a sleeping room and a living area seperated by a wall with a door. When you have two tv's less than ten feet apart, you cannot watch them at the same time.

The room was clean and quiet.

The reservations stated 2 rooms w/Jacuzzi tub in room. There was apparently only one in the hotel. The other room had a couch and refrigerator. The refrigerator was on all the time and the morning I discovered why, the cooling was turned all the way up and all the food we placed in the refrigerator was frozen. This ruined some food and made it very difficult to eat any food. The second room also had two TV sets, but I can see little reason as they are close together and both being watched on separate channels would be impossible due to noise interference as there is no door or barrier to separate them. The staff seemed enthusiastic, but seemed to lack sincerity. The Sauna would not heat up. I was told it could have been reset, but that would entail us walking wet to the front desk. The signs in the pool seem outdated, CPR now encourages more chest pumping and less assisted breathing. Also some signs lacked pool times, or were redundant. The hospitality promise I read was never mentioned and at no time did anyone offer to 'make things right' or offer any recompense for our loss or inconvenience. I would stay at this hotel again, but felt our stay was under false pretenses and would appreciate more honesty and sincerity as well as more genuine concern for guests.
