The step back in time. It's like being in a 1900s house but with some modern touches. Lovely grounds, secure parking & a pleasent lady to meet us on our arrival.

The final cost. Was quoted €140.00 per twin room, per night which was fine given there was two of us staying. However, when the owner's son asked at breakfast how we would like to settle the bill, we decided to pay seperately and split the bill in half. So, imagine my gasp when what should have been €70 each turned into €90 each because, we had chosen to pay seperately and therefore he charged us a single occupancy even though he knows that there was two of us in the room. Lots of bluster about single & double rates etc but he made us the offer of how we would like the bill presented but, neglected to explain the implications. Lost in translation is one thing, economical with the truth is another.
