Though Colombia is known more for its violent history than for its value as a tourist destination, the truth is that times have changed. Though remote areas should still be avoided, the country’s metropolitan areas and popular tourist attractions are now safe. This allows you to experience some amazing sights, sounds and flavors. We’ll be focusing on Colombia hotels located in the capital city of Bogotá, home to many amazing sights and a variety of hotels listed on HotelsOne.com. A hotel in Colombia’s vibrant capital can also serve as a springboard for many Colombia landmarks outside the city. HotelsOne.com will also give you information on each hotel, so you can make your Colombia reservations with confidence. There are hotel rooms listed in many parts of the city and hotel rooms ranging from five-star luxury accommodations to more budget-friendly options.

With nearly nine million people, Bogotá, Colombia is a massive city. If it was located in the USA, it would be the fourth largest city behind New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. A Bogotá hotel in the La Candelaria District can have you walking to historical squares and 400 year-old churches along picturesque narrow streets. This part of Bogotá, Colombia is the oldest part of the city, dating back to the year 1538. A hotel room in the Chapinero District is a great way to experience the city’s nightlife, as it’s near all the bars and clubs surrounding the Zona Rosa, while hotels in the Teusaquillo District are great for sports fans, allowing them to visit the Football Stadium and the Olympic Water Complex, the biggest in all of South America. Bogotá also has a vibrant arts scene, and a hotel in the Bohemian neighborhood of La Macarena will surround you with artsy cafes, art galleries and great restaurants – as well as the city’s bullfight ring. If you want to see how the better half lives, then a Colombia hotel in trendy Parque de la 93. Hotels in Colombia’s largest metropolis can also have you experiencing the beauty of nature, with Chingaza National Park just miles to the east.

Though HotelsOne.com does not presently list any hotels outside of Bogotá, there are plenty of other Colombia destinations worth visiting. The Atlantic coast city of Barranquilla, also known as Colombia's Golden Port is famous for the Carnival celebration held every February. Cartagena boasts ancient and elegant colonial architecture, as well as a modern skyline full of skyscrapers. Here you’ll find many fun festivals, excellent restaurants and a variety of hotel rooms. If you want to experience the Colombian Amazon, then get yourself a hotel room in the city of Leticia, the capital of the Amazonas Department.
