Main reason for choosing Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham Toms River: Location
This was a bargain because the price we paid was quite low. Our stay was short and the location is very convenient to our ultimate destination:Seaside Park.
The room was very basic..older..suffrers by comparison with Marriot budget hotels like the Farfield Inn.

Main reason for choosing Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham Toms River: Location
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We originally booked a room with only one bed, but for an added fee, they were willing to accept our original reservation and move us to a room with 2 beds.
This isn't the hotel's fault, but the traffic patterns in the area made it difficult to get to the hotel. We usually had to go through the parking lot of a local IHOP to get to their reception area or parking lot.

Main reason for choosing Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham Toms River: Rate
The pool was very nice and the rooms were very accommodating for our families. We had connecting door between my daughter's family and ours which was great.
We did not realize the breakfast was only till 9am and having been out late the night before we did not wake up till 9 so that was a little disappointing, we thought it would be at least till 10 or 11am.

The staff worked very well with us in resolving some concerns that we had regarding the room.
It appeared that either someone had smoked in the non-smoking room (which the cleaning staff should have noticed) or that the room had been a smoking room and "converted" to a non-smoking room. We also only had a single set of towels in the room and had to call for additional towels.
