Closeness to our family location and event we were attending in Parkton area.
We found four bugs, two in our bed and two in the bathroom. They were not bed bugs, but were larger, brownish red instead.

The hotel computer system was down when we checked in, so the staff had to handle all customer check-ins, etc. the 'old fashioned way'. The hotel was full, so there was quite alot of activity, yet they were able to get everyone taken care of professionally and quickly.

When we got there we were given a room on the 4th floor with is partly smoking. Once we got off the elevator the smell was so strong that the (2)kids we had with us stated coughing. We went into the room and call the front desk and were told no more room available. We told them that they should have told us about the 4th floor. The did find a room but out cloths, etc. were by this time soaked with smoke. Not happy with them not telling us about smoking floor at time of checking in.

The breakfast selections were amazing. the staff members were extremely helpful
The fact that it will soon become a Holiday Inn Express It will lose its local charm with the makeover that they have planned. I am certain that wondeful breakfast will disappear as well. what a shame.
